the 33rd traditional japanese martial arts competition

sunday. the day that i usually wake up no less than 9 am. XD but not this time. becauseeeeeeeeeee there is the 第33回古武道大会 at Meijou University (a very big and beatiful university.-private.duh..)

i went there with my fren, E chan. we met up at the tsurumai station at 9.30 and then, off to nagoya station to buy mochi cream (yummy!) as sashi ire (i couldnt translate this in english but its buah tangan in BM i guess).

there was a bargain sale in the mall in the station..... guess what, people were lining up outside the mall's door waiting to rush in when the door opens... scary. and i thought that kind of thing only happens on TV (0.0)

we ignore the crowds (well, i tried my best to ignore the sale....and i did!! yay for me!) and we took the subway to shiogoto station.

finally, we reached meijou university at about 10.30 am. nice place. nice university. but the slopes were killing this lack of exercise girl (me). thank god i entered nagoya institute... (as if i could enter a private university...)

lucky me i went there with E chan. she has a better sense of direction in Meijou uni. guess what.. the japanese language proficiency test was also being held there. people might think that i got lost and gave up the test so, thats why i went to watch the martial arts competition.

as we reached the hall, our club president brought us inside and we gave him the sashi ire. i should have taken the picture of their faces when they got that sashi ire. shocked-happy face. omoshirokatta. president said that our team's turn will be at 1pm. so, E chan and i went to the seats and watch the whole competition.

the best thing ever was= black uniform+black hakama
it was SOO COOL!!! BLACK BLACK AND BLACK!! and the katana (sword)~~~ KAKKOII!!!!! (forgive me for being a hakama obsessed girl)

and there were also some teams that includes seniors (seniors like seriously seniors. refer to the photos below). well, its kinda hard to find grandfathers or grandmothers in Malaysia that still active in Silat or whatever. theyre soo coool! seriously!!

i was glad that i went there although there is matrices algebra paper this thursday...enjoy the photos~

this is our aikido club~~

this is what i was talking about. kakkoii jan?
